Machine Embroidery How-to - Gradient Font

I've got a lot of questions from my dear embroidery friends about gradient embroidery. How is stitched the "Dora" on the above picture? Do I need a special thread? Is it a gradient thread? Where can I buy it?

Here is the simple answer - that is easy. All you need, the choice of colors you like and put them in the order you like. In the picture above, I used 5 colors: yellow, turquoise, pink, dark pink and light blue.

The name "Heidy" is stitched in the same way, the gradient is designed in 7 colors. As you can see, no variegated thread needed, just 7 colors you like.

Here is my short 6 min video of machine embroidery technical instructions "How to use Gradient Rainbow Fonts by Artapli".

Short description: Letters always stitch from the left side with one color and finish with another color on the right side. Start stitching the letter with one color, when it finishes in the middle, you will be directed to change a thread and complete the letter with any other color thread. The next letter starts with the same color thread, then will be changed after with the next color.

For example, here are some machine embroidery rainbow designs from my Etsy shop (click on the picture for information and to buy this design):

You can use Embrilliance software and just start stitching!
